MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK BERLIN
MARC JACOBS AND JURY OF FASHION EXPERTS WILL PRESENT DESIGNER FOR TOMORROW AWARD BY PEEK & CLOPPENBURG
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin will once again present many new and returning designers for the Spring/Summer 2012 collections from July 6 to 9, 2011. Among the first confirmed designers are A.F. VANDEVORST, ALLUDE, ANJA GOCKEL, AUSTRIAN FASHION DESIGN, BASLER, BLACKY DRESS, CELIA CZERLINSKI, C’EST TOUT, DAWID TOMASZEWSKI, DESIGNER FOR TOMORROW hosted by Marc Jacobs and presented by Peek & Cloppenburg, DIMITRI, ESCADA SPORT, EVA & BERNARD, FRIDA WEYER, G-STAR RAW, GREEN SHOWROOM, HANNES KETTRITZ, HIEN LE, HTW Fashion School Berlin IM_PULS, HUGO, IRENE LUFT, IRIS VAN HERPEN presented by Mercedes-Benz, KARLOTTA WILDE, KILIAN KERNER, LALA BERLIN, LAURÈL, LENA HOSCHEK, MALAIKA RAISS, MARCEL OSTERTAG, MARIUSZ PRZYBYLSKI, MICHAEL SONTAG, MICHALSKY, MINX by Eva Lutz, MONGRELS IN COMMON, PATRICK MOHR, PERRET SCHAAD, REBEKKA RUETZ, RENA LANGE, ROMANIAN DESIGNERS, STEPHAN PELGER, STRENESSE BLUE,SCHUMACHER, VLADIMIR KARALEEV and WOOD WOOD. More participating brands and a final runway
schedule will be announced later this month.
“We are very excited how many designers and brands have applied to show with us at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin”, says Maia Guarnaccia, Vice President IMG Fashion, Europe. “Even with the increase in timeslots with the addition of the Studio presentation space, our schedule is at the maximum amount of shows possible in the facility.”
As was announced previously, the event will return to Brandenburg Gate this season. The tent will be erected opposite of the world famous landmark, on Strasse des 17. Juni. The new location will allow the event to continue its growth.
“We are dedicated to fashion and strive to give designers an opportunity to showcase their newest creations on an international platform, and to enchant the audience with fashion and design. We are very excited to present Iris van Herpen in association with ELLE Magazine at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin,” says Anders Sundt Jensen, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars.
