Taking its cues from the stars of the film (the sexy widow, Claudia Cardinale and slick gunfighter, Dollar Dawson), the Summer 05/06 collection contrasts curvaceous denim corsetry complete with detachable bustles, which are given a contemporary twist in black, petrol, and desert hues with a hint of sunset pink thrown in for good measure, and seriously hard-edged Pony Express accents in rock wash denim. All bytinaxxx fabrics and patterns have been designed by Konstantina and are exclusive to her designs. His first collection debut in the fall of 2007 was well received. Armed with the assurance that his brand had the potential for staying power, he took some time to fully develop his new collection. Oliver J Davis – Born November 8, 1971 in a small town name Warren, Ohio to the parents of James and Helen Davis. While growing up with three sisters and two brothers, all of whom had totally different styles of dress. Being the youngest, hand-me-downs were my claim to fame. I was excited to find my own style out of hand-me-downs. So my style became anything goes. My greatest inspiration would have been my oldest sister Arvella who taught herself the art of couture. I always did and always will admire her sense of style. She creates elegance and grace in everything she sews. My fashion seed was planted. During my sophomore year I enrolled in sewing 101. That’s where I learned to use a sewing machine, cut a pattern and really construct clothing. My fashion seed started sprouting. My senior year, my classmates voted me Best Dressed Male in the class of 1990. That was an accomplishment considering how hard it was for me. I knew I had style and it was time do something with it. My guidance counselor guided me to try my hand at retail. I had a very successful business in New Orleans for 7 years. Designing for men, women, restaurants and showgirls. In December 2004 I moved to the nation’s capital where my designs have become very popular and in demand by some locals. Design is my past, my present, my future, my life.

Sophia Ali – Unique, Modern, and Elegant are the words that best describe Evening Gowns by Sophia Ali. As a child, Sophia Ali altered her clothes to fit her in a certain way and to look more stylish. Ever since, she’s made strides toward her goal of becoming a designer. She remembers being inspired by the Gianni Versace show—closely studying his choices for fabric and pattern. At age 11, she took one of her aunt’s woman-sized dresses and remade it to fit her petite frame. No one in her family knew how to sew nor had a sewing machine, so Ms. Ali taught herself how to use a hand sewing needle to alter and remake her garments. By the time she turned 14, she had designed her first dress for herself—and then modified for a friend, for them to wear at a wedding reception. Ms. Ali’s life has brought her from her birthplace in Ethiopia to periods in Greece and Canada (earning a degree in Fashion Design from the Art and Technology College in Toronto) on her way to the United States. Since the start of the millennium, she has been busy designing special occasion dresses for her clients and for herself. She also has appeared in and planned various fashion shows in the DC metro area. When others might continue sketching, Ali quickly sees the developing design in her mind. Once she arrives at this, immediately she’s hands-on with the fabric and making the pattern to bring the design to life. What you will see from her harkens to classic inspirations like Oscar de la Renta and Valentino, looks to the current selections seen on icons such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron, and draws in timeless elements such as those worn by Sophia Loren and Jacqueline Kennedy. But what Sophia Ali brings to each design provides a new image of the elegant woman.

Top Rank – Founded in early 2010 by yvette chaupis and mohamed numan , Top Rank started out with principles in mind right out from its conception ; authenticity, quality, style, distinctiveness and price. One could say that Top Rank started out as just an opportunity to pay some debt off, yet it has grown into a vision to bring authentic European military style vintage clothing that cannot be sought after at the best retailers in the country.Top rank wanted to do that as it saw a major trend in the industry to emulate military style fashion and wanted to find the source of this trend.Top Rank saw the vision, to not only bring authentic vintage pieces, sometimes over 40 years old, but to still bring it at a price that many could afford who would not have been able to had they gone to a Nordstrom or Macy’s.As a result amazing vintage pieces, sometimes dyed or altered are brought from all over Europe to Indie/ Urban trendsetters to include history junkies who want to own relics of the past. Men and women alike will find a piece that they will love or as they say at Top Rank, “Some write history, others make history…..we wear it” Top rank’s official launch has yet to be announced but the fashion statement has already attracted music artists for sponsorship such as Immortal Technique and The Narcysist and crowds at Eastern Market here in the capital.

Tranparente - Homa Rastgooy, the designer of Transparente, has started her career in the Fashion industry as a buyer for upper class boutiques and worked successfully in Europe as well as in America.

She basically thought of creating an innovative and sensual clothing line that would both fascinate and satisfy women in all shapes. Wolf vs Goat – When a career as a Muay Thai boxer didn’t seem like the wisest decision, former marine Mauro Farinelli made the natural jump into the fashion world. The result, Wolf vs Goat, is what happens when a man’s man takes on high fashion. Wolf vs Goat is meticulous about details, construction and quality, much as a gearhead is about what goes into his car. Though Farinelli can be aggressive in his designs and color choices, Wolf vs Goat is built upon the idea that fashion should ultimately be accessible. The mission of Wolf vs Goat is to make men look better and take pride in their appearance. Accordingly, Wolf vs Goat often looks to tradition for inspiration.
