Andie MacDowell teaches - Modelling tips

Like mother, like daughters: Andie MacDowell teaches her stunning girls modelling tips on photoshoot

Andie MacDowell knows a thing or two about modelling, having started her career striking a pose around the world.

And she is now passing down the baton to her daughters who have both been kissed with their mother's genetic brush.

Rainey, 21, and Sarah Margaret, 16, looked like younger, but equally as beautiful, replicas of Andie, 53 as they enjoyed a photoshoot in New York yesterday.

The trio posed by a yellow taxi cab in the Tribeca neighbourhood of the Big Apple.

Sarah Margaret wore a white mini dress with a light denim sleeveless jacket. She paired her ensemble with black ankle boots and had a red ribbon in her hair.

Her elder sister Rainey looked resplendent in a white lace dress which showed off her long legs.

Andie kept her legs covered but showed off her enviable shape in skinny jeans, a blush pink sweater and sand coloured wedge sandals.

They appeared to have a good time as they hammed it up for the camera.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star recently appeared in Monte Carlo with Selena Gomez.

Andie's daughters are from her marriage to Paul Qualley, a model she met while shooting an advert for Gap.

The couple were married for 13 years, from 1986 to 1999, during which time she referred to herself as Rosie Qualley. She also has a son, Justin, from the union.

Though no reason for their split was ever given, in 1996 Andie hinted at troubles in their relationship saying: 'We've had tensions.... the roles that I would have liked to have done that are very sexual give him the willies.'

MacDowell carved out a career as a model in the early 80s before she signed up for Greystoke: The Legend Of Tarzan, Lord Of The Apes in 1984.

She modelled for Vogue and shot with numerous respected photographers before making the leap to the big screen.
