While their father Brad Pitt shoots his new movie World War Z, his children have been living in Richmond with their mother Angelina Jolie.

And Angelina has been doing her utmost to keep her six children occupied during the summer with various excursions.

Today, Hollywood actress Angelina decided to take her family to Richmond's Pottery Cafe for an artistic afternoon of painting.

Pirates and princesses: Knox went all out in a pirate hat in sunglasses while Vivienne looked cute in her white frilly dress as mother Angelina Jolie treated the family to an afternoon at Richmond's Pottery Cafe

Dressing up: Angelina's three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne looked adorable in their outfits

And it seems her three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne thoroughly got into the spirit of the cafe's 'Pirates and Princesses' summer holiday theme.

A spokesperson at the Pottery Cafe's Richmond branch told MailOnline: 'They all had a lovely afternoon of painting, and we hope to see them again soon!'

While little Vivienne left the venue wearing pretty red glittery shoes and a Princess-style white frilly dress, Knox went all out with his ensemble - donning a black pirate hat and sunglasses, along with a black and red striped top, as mother Angelina led him out of the cafe.

Time to go home: The family had enjoyed an afternoon of painting their own crockery at the venue

Proud: Five-year-old tomboy Shiloh carried a bag full of the products of the afternoon to the car

And despite most of Angelina's days out with her family have seen her leave one or more of the children at home, today's excursion involved each of her six sons and daughters.

Angelina didn't appear to have enough hands as she attempted to load her brood into a people carrier after their afternoon of fun.

But a proud Shiloh, five, made her own way to the car, carrying a bag packed full of products from the afternoon's activity.

Saying goodbye: Angelina clutched Vivienne and Zahara's hands, while Maddox seemed more interested in blowing up a balloon than getting in to the car

One at a time! Angelina calmly herds her six children into the people carrier as
the family head home

Maddox, seemed preoccupied with a balloon from the cafe as the family headed back to their temporary home, while Pax chomped on a cake after his tiring day out.

Meanwhile Zahara clung to her mother's hand as Angelina, who looked chic in a black dress and nude wedge heels, loaded her brood into the vehicle.

Angelina certainly wants to make sure her children are seeing all the sights London has to offer, and last week, took them to the city's Aquarium while Brad was busy filming.

The couple also took their children to the theatre to see Wicked over the weekend, to celebrate Maddox's 10th birthday.

Hours of fun: The Pottery Cafe sees parents join in with painting pots and plates
with their children

Brad, Angelina and their children have been staying in a lavish £10million Richmond home owned by the widow of a fashion tycoon while Brad continues shooting his zombie movie World War Z.

The owner is known in Hollywood circles for providing one of the most discreet residences for actors to use while filming at nearby Shepperton studios.

Among the big names who have quietly rented the widow’s home, which rents for around £30,000 a month, is Pirates Of The Caribbean star Johnny Depp, 48, who lived there while filming in London.

Veteran actor Michael Douglas, 66, and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 41, have also stayed at the house.
