Channelling your inner Young Victoria? Lady Gaga the pop princess steps out in regal style

She takes her style inspiration for a wide range of source and is often seen sporting clothes verging on the weird and the downright wacky.

But it appears that Lady Gaga had opted for a regal influence and appeared to be channelling her inner Queen as she attended Trevor Live at the Hollywood Palladium.

The 25-year-old singer may well have used Emily Blunt’s young Victoria character as her muse for the evening and had adorned her elegant up ‘do with an elaborate diamond headpiece.

While she appeared to be channeling the royal character from the 2009 film Lady Gaga had added her own twist and a modern update on the regal style.

The singer was wearing simple make-up, by her own standards at least and sported a thick swoop of black eyeliner across her lids and rose lipstick.

Adding to the bling she wore drop studs and her asymmetrical dress sported a diamond encrusted snake shaped strap.

As ever there was particular fanfare as she arrived at the event and plenty of photographers on hand to snap her picture.

The singer was honoured at the event with the Trevor Hero Award, for her work in helping young people express their true selves.

She was credited for being an inspiration to youth and increasing visibility and understand of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) community.

David McFarland, CEO of The Trevor Project said: 'We are proud to honour Lady Gaga with the Trevor Hero Award... for their work to help young people express their true selves with pride.'

Lady Gaga wasn't the only person to make an impact on Sunday night and LeAnn Rimes and Christina Hendricks didn't fail to impress when they showed up at the Hollywood palladium event.

The 29-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actress dazzled wearing bright - and coincidentally festive - colours at the annual show for the organization.

LeAnn took a bit of a fashion risk choosing a rather conservative emerald green coloured caped dress, which covered her toned physique, topping off her look with funky black peep toe stilettos, a clutch, and drop earrings.

Christina may chosen an ensemble that was close to the hue of her bright red coif.

The Mad Men star wore a scarlet knee length pin skirt, sequined cardigan, bedazzled peep toe pumps, a gold clutch, and red lips to tie in her attention-getting look.

But both ladies had the best accessories on the red carpet: Their husbands.

Eddie Cibrian had his arm wrapped around his singer wife of eight months.

And married for a little over two years, Geoffrey Arend kept his body close to his wife's signature hourglass figure.

And it was also date night for Fergie, and her hubby, Josh Duhamel.

The Black Eyed Peas singer stunned in a mini-sequinned feather number, high and tight up-do, and sky-high stilettos.

Josh also made it a family affair by bringing his mother, Bonny Duhamel, along on the red carpet posing for photos together.

Trevor Live at The Hollywood Palladium is the signature annual event for The Trevor Project, who's the nation's leader in providing crisis in intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people.

The majority of the leading ladies at Trevor Live tonight chose a covered up cocktail attire.

Julianne Hough opted for a retro old Hollywood glamorous look with her blonde hair curled around her face, minimal eye make-up and a bright red smacker.

Zoe Saldana chose a busy pattern that was cut a bit above the knee, and closed toe pumps to match her clutch.

Jayma Mays chose a silver frock with crystal accents down her small shoulder, and strappy matching stilettos.

While Amber Heard continues her retro pulled back hairdo with a long cream gown, which showcased an intricate lace back.

Comedienne Amy Poehler went safe wearing the slimming black from head to tow - and her husband Will Arnett also chose the same shade to match his wife.

Julie Bowen went a little more edgy with a skin-tight black leather mini to show off the mother-of-two's fit physique.

Also performing at the event tonight with appearances by Fergie, Mary J. Blige, Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah, Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHalw, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Harry Shum, Matt Bomer, Ty Burrell, Kaley Cuoco, Zachary Levi, Joe Manganiello, and Chris Pine.
