Shamelessly preppy: Emmy Rossum ditches her scruffy look for bright and breezy photo shoot

As Fiona Gallagher in Showtime's Shameless, Emmy Rossum always looks grey and drab.
But in a new fashion shoot for Self magazine the 25-year-old actress experiments with bright colours, floral prints and stripes.
Gone is the straggly hair that her character usually wears in the TV series that stars William H Macy.

Emmy says she enjoyed the fun fashion shoot and the chance to present a different image to the world.
The doe-eyed actress tells the US fitness magazine: 'I had so much fun in these clothes - they're feminine with an edge.
