'Well, I like dressing up!' Kitty Brucknell defends ridiculous pearl encrusted false eyelashes

With reality show rejects ten a penny; wannabes are inventing new ways to be noticed.
And Kitty Brucknell has showcased some rather unusual pearl encrusted eyelashes that appeared to be hindering her vision.
The X Factor singer stepped out with the falsies this morning ahead of an interview on This Morning with former rivals Amelia Lily and Craig Colton.
Easy does it! Kitty Brucknell went a little overboard with eyelash accessoriesDespite opting for relatively generic beige and neutral shades, the 26-year-old typically put her own stamp on the eccentric outfit.
The former Lady Gaga and Britney Spears impersonator wore flesh coloured fishnets, teamed with a faux fur coat and nude heeled boots.
She also opted for a patterned brown dress that had a touch of the Olsen twins granny chic to it, using her make-up to channel her inner sparkle.

The beaded eyelashes were accompanied by a small circle drawn on beneath her right eye and just above a beauty spot on her cheek.
Her garish get-up caused a Twitter follower to question her, asking: 'why do you spoil your face... you look great without all that, please don't do it.'
But Kitty simply said: 'well I like dressing up x'

Kitty added: 'I've tried but that's my bone structure... :('
Whatever her reasons, the blonde songbird is likely to be reevaluating herself after splitting from her boyfriend of eight months Derek Gorman.
The pair reportedly went their separate ways just before Christmas with Kitty hoping to focus on her career instead.

Despite their rivalry on the ITV1 reality show, Kitty, Amelia and Craig appear to have buried the hatchet; with Liverpudlian Colton saying he was pleased to have been reunited with the girls.
Writing on the social networking site, he said: 'Loved today, with @AmeliaLilyOffic and @kittybrucknell :-) good to be back together after a few weeks apart x'
However the pink-haired teenager didn't seem to be too overjoyed over sitting next to Kitty, ignoring her in a tweet to Craig, saying: 'Me and the lovely @CraigColtonUK are on this morning tomorrow! Tune in guys:) xx'
