She gave birth to daughter Haven less than three months ago, but Jessica Alba has already bounced back to her pre-pregnancy shape.

The 30-year-old actress looked absolutely stunning as she arrived at the opening of designer Giorgio Armani's new hotel in Milan, Italy tonight.

She has clearly been hitting the gym since giving birth to daughter Haven Garner Warren on August 15.

The Good Luck Chuck star looked slim and trim in her black, square-cut string top, which revealed most of her toned back.

Her black skirt with its simple flower adornment at the fringe was perfectly respectable yet managed to look seductive given that it had a cut-out piece just above the knee.

She completed the ensemble with a simple pair of black pumps and a tiny black clutch.

Her makeup was simple yet sexy: she wore earth-toned eye makeup and a nude lip, her bright red fingernails adding the only real pop of colour to her outfit.

The star has been very vocal about her desire to stay in shape while pregnant, which may be one reason why it was so easy for her to shed the pounds.

Her fool-proof tricks to maintaining her weight while pregnant including pampering and pre-natal yoga.

When interviewed by Lucky magazine just one month before giving birth, she boasted that she intended to work out every day after giving birth.

She seems to have stuck to her word.

In fact, she was back in the gym less than two weeks after her bundle of joy arrived.

'I did my first day of workout since I had the baby, just cardio for 40 mins. -it's a start. Anyone else starting a fitness regimen?' she wrote on her Twitter page.

She added: 'My doctor told me I could start after 2 weeks. I'm going light, stationary bike and elliptical.'

Although she clearly works hard at looking good, the actress is aware that she'll never completely look the same as she did pre-birth.

'My body's just different,' she told Self magazine. 'The jeans just sort of zip up differently and things hang differently.

'It's a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterward. Unless you're Gisele.'

In addition to Haven, she and husband Cash Warren are also the parents of three-year-old daughter Honor Marie.

She wouldn't trade her two little girls for anything, even if that meant having a million stretch marks.

She told the magazine: 'Pregnancy was the most incredible experience I've ever had, so I'll take the stretch marks. I'll take the sagging boobs. I'll take the cellulite I can never get rid of.'

'If you walk around with your head held high and you're happy and positive, then all that other stuff is irrelevant. Confidence is number one.'

That confidence was on full display at the opening of Armani's new hotel, of which all the rooms and furnishings are designed, of course, by the man himself.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, husband Peter Sarsgaard and French actress Isabelle Huppert also attended the swanky hotel opening.
